Overview
About Me
Unfortunately I cannot host at the moment as I am living in Sydney. I will resume once back... if back ;)
CURRENT MISSION
Make the world a more empathic place!
ABOUT ME
I'm willing to travel the world till my last breath!
I'm into sports, the environment, justice and healthy food.
Best thing about having me around: I'm a great cook!
'Green' is what describes my life the best.
I research and lecture Business Ethics, philosophy and reflexivity at the University of Sydney Business School. Previously interned at the UN Global Compact in NYC under the department of Environment and Anti-Corruption. I have also worked as Event Consultant for the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, Giro d'Italia and Golf Tournaments plus experiences as bike tour guide in summer.
All of this had to fit in my daily 'triathlon training schedule' :)
PHILOSOPHY
You get what you give!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I cook as a 'payback'
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I mostly surfed because of my nomadic life, though I hosted too, both Couch Surfers and not. Unfortunately I haven't had too many guests as my home is located far from touristic routes, though in a beautiful alpine setting.
My CS experience started back in 2007 in Brisbane, Australia. My travelling plans got destroyed in 5mins, cause my travelling buddy had to leave, I lost my passport and I had just the money to come back to Melbourne, where I lived back then. You need an 'insider' to really understand places and Couch Surfers usually know more than a Lonely Planet's guide. Without a CS experience, I would have probably come back home with not more than a superficial idea of the places visited. I am the perfect example of this statement: I am italian and you would expect me to like wine, soccer and be able to cook a pizza... none of the above! Well, ok... I do like Pizza :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Muse, Placebo, Kings of Convenience, Royksöpp, The Killers, The Cure, My Chemical Romance, The Strokes, The Wombats, Arctic Monkeys, The White Stripes, Kaizers Orchestra, Kent... anything really!
Movies: Goodbye Lenin, Clockwork Orange and Pulp Fiction my top 3. Anything but horror.
Lots, lots, lots of documentaries...
Books: The old man and the sea, the Alchemist. I don't have the chance to read a lot besides uni books and academic articles.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Oslo-Gazzaniga and solitaire around Tasmania... all with my bike!
-The northern lights!
-Hitchhiking on a cargo boat off Madagascar.
-Riot in the streets of Antananarivo, 9/11 2009, my first day in sub-saharan Africa.
-Waking up and look outside the window: reindeers are grazing, huge snowflakes falling and sun is shining at 3 a.m. Summer at the North Cape!
-Kitzbühl's finish area on 'the' Saturday! If you love skiing, you know what I mean!

Tips to "non-Italians":
Please put a handful of salt in the boiling water before adding pasta and a bit of oil while cooking it.
I know it's basic, but trust me... there're still people completely unaware of this!
