Hey! My name is Azevedo "Vedo" Evantanto and I am a current first-year student at the University of Maryland, College Park. I love to travel and meet people from all different parts of the world and hence I am in the "Global Communities" program here at UMD. We learn about different cultures, globalization, and interact with lots of the international students here. Although I am relatively young, many say I am mature and responsible- I'd like to think so myself as well! I was born in Indonesia and speak fluent Bahasa, but I am also pretty good at Spanish as well. I love to play volleyball or badminton, swim, and take pictures or videos!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, as I presume most, if not everyone here does as well. I also love the aspect of traveling fully, and really learning about the area and its people and culture. I prefer living with a local and living the "normal life" rather than staying at a hotel and doing the common tourist activities. Thus, I want to meet awesome people that have a similar mindset as I do!

Interests

I love to take pictures and videos, swim, play sports such as volleyball, basketball, badminton, or football. I like working out and exercising. And I LOVE to eat!

I'm a huge fan of country, rap, alternative, pop, or really any type of music! I'm open to all movies as well, just not the horror ones :)

I believe I have an interesting background as a first-generation immigrant who has kept true to his roots as well as adapted and picked up the American lifestyle.
