ABOUT ME

We want to see the world! We are easy going, but also adventurous and curious.

We got married summer of 2008, finished college in 2010. Just days after graduation we went on our first european vacation as a couple. We had our first son (named Theo) soon after (9 months after! ;)) and now we are living in Medford, Oregon enjoying life. We just welcomed sweet new son to the family, Silas Rainier, named from our favorite mountain from our years living in Seattle.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We surfed three different times during our vacation in 2010 and had very pleasant experiences each time. We have not had the pleasure of hosting yet.

Interests

Some of our passions include:
Food- Zach is very passionate about bread baking lately, I am reaping the benefits for sure! He is always trying new things in the kitchen and becoming very proficient at them- espresso, home beer brewing, curing meats, Thai food is his next adventure! I have my own personal chef ;)
Music-I studied classical singing in college and stay busy performing opera seasonally, I also love to sing Jazz. Zach is always seeking out and introducing me to good new music.
We are beer enthusiasts- my favorite is a good belgian tripel and Zach prefers IPA's.
Zach is very into mountain biking as we live close to some phenomenal biking trails here in Southern Oregon. We love to hike together and my favorite physical activity is yoga.
And of course our adorable little boys. They are a lot of fun and we are loving family life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For me, it is performing on stage, it is gives me a great rush of adrenaline. Also, meeting our baby boys for the first time, those were amazing moments.

Teach, Learn, Share

Both Zach and I come from interesting religious backgrounds. Zach's family is Mennonite and mine is Mormon. While the two of us have stopped practicing these religions, they have influenced who we are quite a lot. We are very open to talking about it and really enjoy conversation about culture in general.

I am a budding cook, and would love to learn to cook traditional dishes from places that I travel... I also have a few typical american meals I could share!
