Adventurous, curious, and passionate. I like to travel and visit new countries, experience new cultures and try new food. I like biking, hiking, and going out and biking around the city. Unconventional ways of traveling and trips, from camping in the mountains, biking long-distance, etc. are how I like to travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I first heard about this website and the experiences that my friends had, I was excited and enthusiastic about it because I always wanted to visit places that only locals can make you explore and enjoy the most.

Also, what I think couchsurfing is often about is creating a social group, of people who are willing to open their homes and minds to others and share their experiences and stories, which is the coolest part of the whole experience :) if you are visiting a new country/city that is foreign to you, try to meet with locals and let them help you with where to go for a sweet or where to eat lunch, they will surprise you with things that neither TripAdvisor or Yelp can show/guide you to!! (that happened with me before)

Interests

I am really into specialty coffee and the different ways of making coffee, from cold brew to espresso. And yes, I can make latte art, I'm becoming very good at it. I like Ethiopian and Colombian coffees, they have a mix of sweetness and sourness that is just perfect.

I use digital and vantage cameras. I have a Canon camera that I use for video documenting.
Also, I have a Polaroid camera, that I carry with me when a travel, you can really get great shots using it. I think captured get a special moment of your life worth more than just a digital bite on your phone. I have REAL albums of pictures and it is way better than what I have in my phone studio.

Also, having a good and thoughtful conversation, talking with people and exchange ideas and stories is what I like to do when ever I meet a new person or catch up with an old friend!!

I always loved biking, but one experience made me really appreciate it, it was when I crossed The Golden Gate Park, baking through the park so far was the best bike short trip I ever did.

Music, Movies, and Books

Independent and alternative music are my favorite, but I listen to almost everything. I like traditional and contemporary Arabic music.

Drama and sci-fic movies are my favorite.
I was not the kind of person who likes to watch tv series, but after Sherlock Holmes and Luther, I reconsidered my position. You should watch them!!

I read all what I get my hands on, but, I like to read more about design and architecture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped with a parachute from the top of a mountain in Puncak, Indonesia. I saw someone jumping and liked it so I went up and asked if it possible for me to do it--because I was 15 at the time, and they said of course you can. They started tying me with lots of ropes/bonds and I thought that was too much. When we were about to jump of the hill--somebody was with me since it was my first time-- I decided to back and not do it, but it was toooo late. We jumped and I was so scared I admit, but after I felt the winds I opened my eyes and the fear was gone. The view was amazing.

I consider this one of the best experiences I have ever had so far!!

I did skydiving in Hawaii in Jan 2018, it was a great and life changing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning and listening to peoples' experiences and the obstacles that they have faced in life is always eye opening because I get to know a lot about them and how to coup with similar situations.
In return, I try to pass on that knowledge with others and help with what I can and make people feel happy!

What I Can Share with Hosts

There are many experiences and things that i want to share with people. I would like to share some of my culture, tell some jokes, cook a meal, or just enjoy the day with my host. Also, I'm a good story-teller, so maybe I can share some of my sorties as well.

I also have my Polaroid camera with me when I travel, so I hope we can get a nice picture together. Occasionally I take my coffee maker, the travel kit, and I really like to give people a real taste of coffee.
