About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Working at trying the make the world just a little bit better, and a lot more fun!
ABOUT ME
I'm am currently 63 years old. My main career was as a mortgage banker for 15 years in Chicago, which was dull but lucrative. When I'd made enough money to mostly retire, I started searching for my fantasy life: living in a cottage in the woods in a town that was too small to have a McDonalds. I moved to Pine 16 years ago and have loved it ever since. I worked for a couple of years as a family counselor, then about 6 years as a woodworker/artist selling in galleries and in art shows. I'm retired now, which gives me time play with new art forms and travel the world. Life is good!
PHILOSOPHY
What goes around comes around. So, it's in everyone's best interest to be kind to others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Some excellent friends of mine have been hosts for CS, and have had wonderful experiences and met delightful people. They've encouraged me to try hosting, too. So far it's been great.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've just had my first hosting experience and it worked out really well. Tyler Lucas and his friend Bryan, who were hiking the Arizona Trail, stopped by for 2 days and were delightful guests.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've just read Freakonomics and Super Freakonomics and loved both. I enjoy most music forms and love movies. I just saw Crazy Heart and thought it was pretty great, but for pure escapism Avatar is terrific.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in India, Spain and Panama were wonderful experiences.
