ABOUT ME

life has been a mystical journey , following the road less traveled. My journey included spending time with indigenous cultures around the world. Very much influenced by eastern thought and shamanic practice. Very much of a naturalist and live life in multi dimensional reality.

I had an Inn in Vermont for 17 years but got tired of 10 months of winter and two months of bad sledding. Had a rock shop, gold mine and alternative wellness center north of Phoenix for many years. Got burnt out in the Cave Creek Complex fire in 2005.

Spent time as a monk and had a travel company.
A complex person who enjoys the simple life.

PHILOSOPHY

just breathe. be spontaneous. Live in the present. I live totally off of the grid. solar and wind powered, water harvesting etc. I believe in making as limited a foot print as I can on the planet and I totally embrace others who are wanting to or or living the same way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

while I have no experience in this formal program , I was raised in a family and environment where our doors where always open to travelers. My best experiences in traveling in America and global travel have always been when I was invited into the homes of people I met on the road and I have always enjoyed having travelers stay with me. Sharing experiences of life ,cultures and the beauty of the areas where I live.

I read alot. I enjoy historical books, fiction and non fiction, human interest, philosophy and cross cultural books. would also say the same about the music and movies I enjoy.

Hiking the Inca trail and spending time in Peru and Guatemala and realizing that the Spanish did not kill the rich cultures of the indigenous people.
