I love the outdoors, hiking, cycling, backpacking, camping, and exploring. I also like to meet new people, enjoy a coffee or beer at a nice cafe, read a book, learn a new song on the guitar, travel, and learn, always learning. I work as a carpenter/general contractor so I'm pretty handy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had a great couch surfing experience in Palenque, Mexico, where I stayed with a really cool person. I loved how she showed me around her town and took time out of her day to show me what she thought was interesting about the place she lived. Obviously the best way to travel is with locals, so if I can, I try to make this happen!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am really into the author T.C. Boyle right now. Some of my other favorite authors are Steinbeck and Kesey.

I like a lot of music, but right now I am finding myself in a Chuck Berry phase.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode a mountain bike across Spain on the Camino de Santiago with my step brother when I graduated college.
