ABOUT ME

I'm a Dance/Anthropology major. I dance for two dance companies a modern company and a Traditional Balinese dance company as well. I enjoy studying ALL cultures. I'm always wanting to learn more and more especially things relating to dance.

I like to stay open and experience many things and let what works for me naturally gravitate to me.

I enjoy a large variety of music, folk, cultural, blues, soul, and some rock. occasionally if i feel brave i'll sing myself, i used to when i was younger sing covers mainly of artist like Nina Simone, Dinah Washington, Joanna Newsom, and some Bob Dylan.

I love to read and research just about anything evolving mysticism, and cultural arts.Some of my favorite readers were The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám, Bhagavad Gita, The conference of the birds, The Ramayana, Women who run with wolves, Religions of the world, Tell my horse and Ishmeal.

I've been studying cultural dance since i was 16 years old. It all started when i saw an Afghan dance performance, since then I've study every form of dance i could and I have taught a few. I had a non for profit at 17 years old and co taught Algerian, Saudi Arabian and a myriad of middle eastern dances. I also have been a jewelry artist since my teens working at first with feathers and gems, in the last few years I've been designing and making headdresses based on traditional Asian designs. I have a good amount of knowledge in yogic practices such a Raja yoga and yoga nidra and have lived at and studied in ashrams. I love to share the knowledge I've acquired over the years. I can't think of anything i love more than a nice stimulating conversation over a nice cup of coffee of a glass of wine in good company.
