About Me

Shalom! I am an olive-green human who grew up in Nothern Italy, but a bit from all the places I've been. My name is Azzurra.

I've been traveling around for a few years now, after finishing my studies in languages, met amazing people and got inspiration to cook different food.
It's stunning to feel how small the world actually is when you move around, so so nice you can bump into the same people in opposite sides of the planet :)

I think I can say I am a rather quiet person, I am trying not to talk too much when it's not needed.

In general I am working on achieving balance rather than excess.

I enjoy a beautiful connection with nature and her gifts: the breeze inbetween branches, the calming sound of the sea, the warmth of the sunrays. The stars above us - it makes me happy when I see them pop out at night. So much beauty in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS allows you to enter a very intimate space, and often you find yourself talking to strangers as if you had known them for a long time. It's a very special feeling and it makes me feel more human.

I've been very happy to have a place in Milan where I could finally host people and give back the care I received when I was traveling, but now it's time to be a guest again :)

Interests

I enjoy going to markets, picking veggies and talking to the people at the stalls.
I enjoy cooking a lot and trying out new recipies. I like taking long walks when there are not many people around, or ride a bike. I love observing people, and if I have enough energy, write about them or draw them. I discovered ecstatic dance a couple of years ago and I'm always down for a session.
I've been enjoying going to psytrance festivals and connect with people, and lately I have been practising a bit of yoga and meditation and found it really helps getting closer to being the better version of myself :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Started eating vegetables at the age of 23 - I was pretty happy with this as until then I was mostly eating pasta (in all its beauty of course, but still..) and a lot of meat.
It was a big change.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Italian, I'm a tutor :)

I'd like to learn more about gardening, growing vegetables, pottery
I'd be happy to draw together listening to some nice music, I like also when people jam around me even though I don't play any instruments. I like dancing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking and sharing recipes, food and tea. Telling each other stories :)
Conversations, a smile or a hug in the morning as the day starts.
