About Me

Hi, I'm Brianna. People call me BMO. Im Filipina, grew up in Florida, and have been residing in Portland for almost 10 years now. I’m an artist trying my best to live intentionally and seek beautiful experiences with a variety of people

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I went on a super rad road trip across the country and couchsurfing allowed me to have wonderful experiences with wonderful people all over the US.

I try to travel whenever opportunity allows, and couchsurfing is a great way to do that while building relationships with people internationally and intentionally

Interests

I love art, and the vast spectrum of what that can look like. I like to dabble in most everything that comes my way, regardless of how good or bad I am at it.

I appreciate people that are passionate about things. I also like kind people.

Music, Movies, and Books

**Favorites are a difficult thing to pin down, and I find this section to be the most frequently updated**

Music: Frank Ocean, Shlohmo, and La Femme, FKJ

Movies: Everything Everywhere All At Once

Shows: Planet Earth, Steven Universe

Books: Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac, Unbearable Lightness of Being by Mila Kundera, Island by Aldous Huxley All About Love by Bell Hooks, The Alchemist, Song of Achilles

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to the Philippines, where I jumped into a waterfall in Sagada, went spelunking and stood on my head on the edge of a volcano

Teach, Learn, Share

I am semi fluent in Spanish and Tagalog, and minimally in Bahasa (though at the moment its mostly general greetings, compliments, and haggling haha.) I have an affinity to language and would love to both learn and share with people linguistically.

I'm currently a carpenter/fabricator, but I've done a variety of jobs in a variety of places.

I also play guitar, ukulele, and the piano so sharing a nice jam session or just entertaining someone with songs are things I enjoy doing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories of Florida, Portland, my life, things I've seen, and adventures I've been on. Sometimes I can be funny, too. If those fail however I would gladly teach guitar/ukulele, spin poi, and sing songs in exchange for a place to stay and friendly company.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Philippines, Spain, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
