About Me

I am a student at the University of Washington studying Law, Societies & Justice and am minoring in Education, Learning & Societies. I have a love for traveling, learning languages, and teaching.

I love my city, Seattle, and enjoy exploring the city and going on spontaneous adventures. I enjoy following Seattle sports and spend a lot of time following the Seattle sports community. I also enjoy learning languages and am supplementing my ASL classes by teaching covers of songs to myself.

I lead a team for Jumpstart, an Americorps program that places undergrads in underserved communities for 300+ hours of volunteering over the year. This last summer I helped lead an Engish full immersion summer camp in Shanghai and have had experiences with teaching English to Kindergarteners, middle school students, and adults.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My best experiences traveling have been the ones where I got to know the locals. After I graduated high school I took a gap year. I received a scholarship from the State Department to study Chinese in China, and it was then that I began to love traveling. The most memorable times have been with people that I met and explored with. Couchsurfing and staying in hostels will allow me to make the most of my experience by meeting the great people of the places that I visit.
