Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My Quaker high school days introduced me to the idea of being a world citizen, not just a citizen of your nation. Those days also taught me the importance of community. These values led me to Couchsurfing.com. While I've had an account for quite some time, it took me a while to pursue an active membership. My house has been a safe haven for bands on tour, and I have become addicted to the break in monotony that occurs when you welcome strangers into your home. I am excited to be a part of the Couchsurfing community, because I know that it will give me an opportunity to expand my perspective and learn.
