ABOUT ME
Non-smoker, fun, clever, goofy, intelligent, creative, outgoing, enjoys his sleep!
Hi, thanks for looking at my profile! I'm a neurologist and chronic traveler. I lived in India for 5 years where I studied medicine and yogic techniques. Medication on the weekdays, meditation on the weekends! I have also been all over the US, and traveled abroad to Cairo, Dubai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Switzerland and Italy for short visits.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Way more fun than hotels and great way to meet people from diverse backgrounds and learn more about the world, which is very important to me.
Interests
I love interacting with people and learning about their lives and new ways of thinking about things. I love tennis, swimming, I play piano, and can sing some mean opera also (mostly in the shower these days).
Music, Movies, and Books
Pretty wide range. I like everything from classical (Chopin) to Hindustani classical (Kumar Gandharva) to classic rock (Zep) to modern rock (Tool, etc). Some of my favorite books are Autobiography of a Yogi and A Confederacy of Dunces. Movies wise my top 5 are kinda eclectic bunch - Glengarry Glen Ross, The Big Lebowski, One Eyed Jacks, Sweet and Lowdown, and A Streetcar Named Desire.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being in the Himalayas was a big one for me. Other than that, I am moved by acts of courage and kindness. Favorite place to chill is the beach on a warm day!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach meditation, tennis, piano, enough medical knowledge to make you dangerous, and how to cook a perfect sunny side up, overeasy or scrambled eggs!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I just recently moved and will update this soon. Stay tuned!
