About Me

Getting my master's degree - want to become a counselor one day.
Teaching, working at and going to festivals, drinking coffee, meditate, reading, drinking beers, pilates, walking barefoot, researching new interesting things...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people and I'd like to show you around!

Interests

Psychology, sexuality, philosophy, the way love and relationships are constructed, which books I want to read this year (or what about a bookclub?), meditation, making travel plans, the - new - things I would love to experience and projects I should start (Becoming a barista? Dining in the dark? Tantra? Paragliding? Improving my sushi skills?)

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorites is a hard one. I have some books/songs/movies etc. that are really important to me and mean something in a particular way.

Ever watched the Broken Circle Breakdown? Beautiful. And made me love blue grass music.
Or what about Vicky Christina Barcelona. Into the wild. Before sunset. 500 days of summer. The Hours. Boyhood. The Dreamers. The Truman Show. Captain Fantastic. I, Daniel Blake.
The 100. Orphan Black. Friends. The L word. Underemployed.

And a few books: Norwegian Wood, Disturbed Life (Etty Hillesum), Ik Ook Van Jou (Ronald Giphart),Milk and Honey (Rupi Kaur - also: her TEDtalk!) ...
Right now I am reading a book of Anaïs Nin, Henry and June. Her way of loving. She is so honest about her feelings and desires!

Oh! And I am looking for a book, containing references to existing places so I can read it while exploring the city. Suggestions for Jordania?
And in general, I love book/movie/article recommendations!

This year I would love to go to a concert of: the XX.
I love indie, electro, techno, deephouse, singersongwriters, but I can appreciate a lot of music.

Teach, Learn, Share

Love this question, I really like this mindset!
Need some time to think about my answer...

I would love to show you around my city and make you feel at home!

(Just started a new project, focused on the question how you'd get to know the things you don't know. There is this disinction between the things you do know you don't know, and the things you don't even know you don't know. Any thoughts on that one?)
