Music, Movies, and Books

I don't do favourites, there is just too much goodness to choose from

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Tarantino, Miyazaki, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, A Scanner Darkly, The Wolf of Wallstreet, Short term 12, Birdman, Whiplash, Tim Burton, The Kings of Summer, Silver Linings Playbook, Life of Pi, the Great Gatsby, Mary and Max, and so many more...

The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Regina Spektor, Bon Iver, Jeff Buckley, Jeffrey Lewis, Kimya Dawson, The Shins, The Kooks, Robag Whrume, Kollektive Turmstrasse, Nina Simone, Ray Charles, Vivaldi, Bach, Chinese Man, Modest Mouse, Elliott Smith, Bright Eyes, Laura Marling, Leonard Cohen, Edit Piaf, and so many more...

I have read mostly Dutch literature... Besides this, I really like the Japanese author Haruki Murakami. Roald Dahl was my favourite author as a child. Some other non-Dutch reads that I really enjoyed were 1984, The Help, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Alchemist... I also read a lot of non-fiction. I am currently reading Fried Eggs with Chopsticks and Fragrant Harbor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went camping on the Great Wall of China, saw the sunrise at Angkor Wat, rode a camel in the Sahara, those were pretty amazing things.
