Hi, I’m Babylyn! 😊
I’m a 31-year-old solo traveler from the Philippines, currently based in Makati. I work as an Analyst at an international bank and usually work from home, though sometimes I’m in the office.

I actually joined Couchsurfing back in college but forgot about it until recently. I returned to the app in May 2025. My first time meeting people through Couchsurfing was during my trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand in June 2025. That was also my first international trip, and it was inspiring to meet travelers who had explored so many countries!

While I’m still new to traveling abroad, I’ve been exploring the Philippines extensively since finishing college. I’m a beach and mountain person at heart (and we’ve got plenty of that here!), so if you’re planning to travel around the Philippines, I’d be happy to share tips or itineraries.

When I’m not traveling, you can usually find me in Makati. If you’re in Metro Manila and want to explore, feel free to reach out. I’d love to help or tag along if I’m free.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Honestly, not just one… 😂
Here are a few memorable ones:

- Traveled with little money, just me and a friend. I became her dedicated photographer in exchange for food and adventure (2015).

- Slept on the beach with nothing but a beach towel as a mattress. No tent, no room, just stars (2016).

- Got forced into a “Bottoms Up” challenge in Boracay. Finished 2nd place and almost threw up after because I don’t even drink! 😂 (2016)

- Accidentally (okay… maybe intentionally) entered a “No Trespassing” zone just for fun. No regrets! 🤭

- Ran a long-distance race in 2025 with zero training. Legs hated me, but I made it.

- I almost always travel solo, by choice and by habit.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I can teach you some basic Filipino (Tagalog) words or phrases, share Filipino culture and travel tips especially if you’re planning to explore the Philippines! I can also teach you how to cook Filipino cuisine ♥️

Learn:
I’m curious about different cultures, languages, and everyday life in other countries. I’d love to learn how you live, what you eat, and how you see the world.

Share:
I can share stories from my travels (mostly around the Philippines… and a few fun international ones soon), help you cook simple Filipino dishes, and just enjoy a good hangout whether that’s over coffee, food, or a city stroll.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I haven’t stayed with a host yet, I usually book my own accommodation. But I’m open to the experience and would love to connect! Maybe I can treat you to a meal as a thank-you gesture, or we can cook together. 😊

I’m very respectful of space and always clean up after myself. I also love meaningful conversations, sharing stories, and learning about local life. If there’s anything I can do to help around the house, just let me know!
