About Me

Some quotes that I like:

Drop the idea that you are Atlas carrying the world on your shoulders. The world would go on even without you. Don't take yourself so seriously! - Norman Vincent Peale

The best things in life make you sweaty. - Edgar Allan Poe

Quitting often takes more strength than perseverance - Prof. Deepak Malhotra

Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts. - Albert Einstein

The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything. - Karen S. Magee

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a great way to get to know interesting people, and learn new things.

The first time when I've heard about couch-surfing was when I met Stephen, a guy who came to a friend of mine using CS. Until now I've visited Paris and Warsaw using couch-surfing, but I have bigger plans for the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fast and random pickings:

Classical music, rock, jazz.

Some books: Thinking fast and slow - Daniel Kahneman, Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte, The Black Swan - Nassim Nicholas Taleb, Maitreyi - Mircea Eliade.

Some movies: Cinema paradiso, Les quatre cents coups, Dead Poets Society.

And, of course, lots of other stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been in the U.S. with Work and Travel in the summer of 2011, between my first and my second year of college, and I skydived in Wisconsin :)

I lived in Uganda for 10 months.

Teach, Learn, Share

When I lived in Illinois I've learned that if you want to feel good, you can do it anywhere with what you have. Regardless of conditions like where you're staying or how's the food, etc. If you complain too much you're making life too complicated and you're missing all the fun. So, do the best you can with what you have, from where you are!

What I Can Share with Hosts
