My true passions are everything environmental. I desire deeply to one day be completely self-sustainable off the land. My commitment is to share the knowledge I find in order to help save the world. SEE PHILOSOPHY

PHILOSOPHY

Homesteading has always been the way I have imagined my life. The more that I learn about different ways in meeting my needs sustainably the more excited and passionate I become about the possibilities of a truly fulfilling future.
We all currently live in a world that is dominated by a culture that is driven by attaining things. Most people are only interested in affairs that have been propagated by the media which only exasperate selfish desires. The status quo in the lifestyles of today has not even touched the surface of the true meaning of being alive. My desire is to break this cycle and create a life that is full of community and commitments to what is truly important.
I am interested in natural building, alternative sources of power and the like. I would like to see just how self sustainable I can become. If you can imagine collecting your own honey from the bees you keep, or swim in your own pond and fish your own stocked waters. Growing mushrooms/edible forest gardens and constructing natural wetlands, then you know what I am talking about.
In other words I wish to create an new way of life that models a sustainable existence that others can find excitement in and take back home to ponder over.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently without couch to share and that is only because of my roommates who feel unsure about such a venture... my plan is to turn my 20x10 shed into a guest house... for future couch surf'n friends:)

I couch surfed several times before... I just love the CS community...still looking for a bad egg:)

Love Scifi, and fantasy with some romance thrown in. Huge movie person. I read tons of non fiction, mainly how to's and field guides... permaculture and the like:)!!
