ABOUT ME

I've been told I'm a renaissance man. I love to cook, play music, invent, travel, and more.

Recently I started making my own clothes. Before that my big project was brewing (and drinking) mead - a type of wine made from honey.

I have a company that makes medical device technology. I work on it from home mostly unless I have meetings.

PHILOSOPHY

We all die and the only things we leave behind are what other people use and remember from us. So it's our responsibility to other people to make the world a better place.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host people who seem really cool when I am capable.

I'm really involved in the San Jose couch surfing community. Because the CS web site is a bit clunky we mostly organize events through the Facebook group. There are activities several nights a week.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly I meet people through the group when I'm not travelling, but last year I went to Spain to learn to play classical guitar and I stayed with a really cool German couch surfing host who introduced me to some of the best food and most beautiful hiking I'd ever experienced.

Ok, I actually like Harry Potter. I know that I'm a bit old for that sort of thing, but it's pretty awesome.

I lived in an orthodox monastery for a while. Recently I went to spain to learn flamenco guitar. This year I went to Greece to go to my cousin's big fat Greek wedding.

I would love to jam with someone. I love showing people what I know including how to make wine, cheese, soap, bath bombs, play guitar, and more.

Right now I'm very interested in learning to compose music - specifically how to capture emotion and tell story through music.
