ABOUT ME

I'm often told I'm funny without meaning to be, which to my friends is apparently a joy. I left England with a new attitude and a thirst for new experience of people and places. Living in China for the last year or so has enabled this, but I want more! I always love meeting new people and sharing stories, to get a better perspective of myself and the world. I can cook, I like staying in with music or a film or going out during the day or night. I'm sure you'll find me Heather and I very welcoming! (She's a great lass and she's great with people).

PHILOSOPHY

When strangers are unexpectedly open and friendly, 99% of the time you'll be glad and respond in kind. It's more difficult to make the first move but you'll have a high success rate. So I joined couchsurfing :) Love life, love people and plan the big things first, join the dots after.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I signed up a while ago but have been busy recently. My pal John who I've lived with for a long time hosted his first couch surfer at our flat and now I see what I've been missing! Heather and I would love the chance to host you well and build up our profile for when we travel.

Interests

Trekking, camping, thrill seeking*, reading, singing (karaoke), music, films, cooking, meeting people. Heather likes music, literature and poetry. We both love dancing (if you can call it dancing).

*Intend to go parahawking in Nepal. If you've not heard of it, apparently its like paragliding but following a trained bird of prey up thermals :o

I used to love indoor climbing but I injured my shoulder slightly so have been resting it up for a while. Back on it soon!

Heather and I both love all kinds of music. Bring yours and we'll get the speakers on.

Most movies: horror, comedy, anime, everything. Music: Every genre deserves a fresh chance. Different music for different moods. Music is therapy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming naked in the most famous lake in China. Its on their bank note xD

Husky sledding in Siberia. Visiting Lake Baikal nearby (deepest Lake in the world).

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching kids: make the two badly behaved boys team captains, reward their success, fill them with purpose and self-worth. They can be the good guys for an hour.
