CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
I hope free will exists, and that I have it, but if I don't then at least I am somewhat consoled by Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle. I love to hide and ambush/scare people (anyone) by pretending as a monster.
PHILOSOPHY
Be nice...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed in Toulouse, Lyon, Torino, Wien, Praha, Bruxelles, Boston, and Antwerp, and was part of the big July 2005 barbecue in Linz, Austria and the insane week-long October 2005 gathering in Montreal, then later Stockholm and Copenhagen. Hosted a bunch in Montreal after that, but have unfortunately done much less of that since then.
Interests
Oh heavens.... let's see, philosophy, science especially physics and psychology and biology (in biology, especially ecology, evolution, and animal behaviour/welfare and mental states), history and prehistory, archaeology, human origins, wildlife conservation, the theremin, politics, making amateur movies (I am "Indiana James" haha), this list is way too narrow and each of its points way too broad.

Music, Movies, and Books
Off the top of my head, some favourite movies include The Experiment, A Simple Plan, Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail, Life is Beautiful, Do The Right Thing, Inception, etc.
My tastes in music change fairly frequently, but here are some favourites that just never fade: Procol Harum's Whiter Shade of Pale, David Bowie's Space Oddity, Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb, Dead Kennedys in general, Les Cowboys Fringants in general, Guru and MC Solaar's Le Bien, Le Mal, The Clash's London Calling and Spanish Bombs, The Postal Service in general, Tupac's Changes, I Ain't Mad Atcha, and Brenda's Got a Baby, some Supertramp, and MASH-UPS!
Books. I like reading alot. Here are some favourites. 1984 by George Orwell (I love dystopian novels), Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut, The Giver by Lois Lowry, Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, Night by Elie Wiesel, Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky, On The Road by Jack Kerouac, Watchmen by Alan Moore, The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov, We by Evgeny Zamyatin, also stuff by Amélie Nothomb, Boris Vian, Michael Crichton
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being invited to supper (all 4 of us) by a random jovial guy after one minute of conversation in Menton, an otherwise cold and boring town. "Je fais des pizzas!"
