About Me

The world is a beautiful place, and I can't wait to experience it all :)

I love to try new things and meet new people. For me it's all about experiencing everything at least once. I'm currently working and living in NYC and Brooklyn. Unfortunately that means my schedule is way to crazy to host guests right now, but I'm happy to meet up with you so don't hesitate to message!!

I want to be able to justify my opinions about things by actually experiencing them. I don't like it when people hear about something or someone and automatically judge that person, place, or thing by what they hear. I believe you should experience everything at least once.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been trying to couchsurf for a long time, but always ended up staying in hostels or with friends. I've loved my experiences, but I'm going on a solo trip in a few months and would really like to use that opportunity to meet new people!

Interests

I studied Art History in undergrad in Boston and just finished my Master's in Art Business in New York, where I still live and work. I am a huge lover of street art and always hunt for new murals and such whenever I travel. I try and take at least 1-2 trips a year, whether they be weekend trips or longer adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Bleachers, The 1975, Muse, The Avett Brothers, Ray LaMontagne

Open to book and movie suggestions! But not horror movies, though I love the Walking Dead...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent the year of 2012 living and studying in Madrid, Spain. Needless to say it was absolutely incredible. I traveled to so many places and it's been so hard being back in the states and not being able to just get up and go every weekend. It's hard to pick just one experience, so here are a few: feeding the pigeons in St. Mark's Square in Venice, being in a bull fighting ring with an actual bull in Salamanca, inhaling the array of scents in a Moroccan souk, being a part of an impromptu Christmas flea market in Rome, staying out until 7 AM bar hopping in Barcelona with new friends from Australia, Germany, and France, getting into the cab of the nicest cabby in Paris on my first solo trip, watching the sunset from the Templo de Debod in Madrid, biking around Amsterdam (not well), exploring the streets of Prague at midnight with new friends, and many, many other adventures.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm very open to learning about new cultures and love to hear about other people's experiences in life. I want to know what else the universe has in store for me through the stories of others. In turn I will share my experiences, which, who knows, might be interesting to other people as well :)
