My name is Bas.

I am currently working as a nursing supervisor in the community sector. I have been fortunate enough to be given flexibility in my career which has resulted in having the ability travel all over the world.

I am a Toronto native. Just bought a house with a September move in date so it will be interesting later to see what it will be like to be on the other side hosting travellers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am an avid traveler but unfortunately alot of my friends do not share the same passion. Looking to try this out, meet like-minded people and foster new relationships. I have found when travelling solo I have had so many opportunities to meet people who eventually turn out to be life-long friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the chance to celebrate with the city when the Toronto Raptors won the championship.

I have seen both Barack and Michele Obama live.
