About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See the world and find out where 'home' is
ABOUT ME
I'm a relaxed, happy and 'lucky' person. Personally I think that your outlook on life is a direct cause of 'luck', and that by always expecting to meet wonderful people you will discover more wonderful people out there. I'm open, friendly and always willing to discover new cultures and new ways of thinking.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't measure success as your impact on the world, but the impact the world has had on you. In other words, I like to be open to learning and experiencing everything I can on this vast planet and not to judge or measure it. I know that I am insignificant - and so I can peacefully enjoy the important things that exist outside of my own head.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am not in Seattle I'm in Tokyo! My internet access is via my Kindle 3G so I think CS has got confused...
I am new to couchsurfing but I am keen to meet interesting new people, either by staying with them or having them stay with me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Earlier this year I spent some time in Japan and met some wonderful Couchsurfing friends, both as hosts and as companions with whom to meet up and share a meal or a karaoke booth. It was one of the most positive experiences I've ever had, giving me a real local insight into my destination as well as making friends for life.
Since then I've been travelling Europe in my campervan and although I've hoped to continue meeting people on my way it's been more difficult. I'd love to host people and give them the experience I've been so lucky to receive, if only I can sit still for more than a week!
Interests
I like camping and finding frugal ways to live, from guarding empty commercial buildings to freecycling and seat filling. I have a long history of appreciating and making music and danced excessively as a girl, something I'm still prone to doing now when I think no-one is looking.

Music, Movies, and Books
Everything from horror and heavy metal to love stories and classical piano.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first time I went to the summer solstice at Stonehenge, with people I barely knew, and watched the sun rise over a party - without any need for drugs, I felt ecstatic.
Arriving in Japan for the first time and confusedly wandering into a dog grooming shop for lunch.
Teach, Learn, Share
I do face painting and I play music (piano and woodwind mostly).
I love languages and always try to learn the basics when I travel somewhere.
