About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to fulfill my destiny and just be generally awesome on a day-to-day basis.

ABOUT ME

At the risk of sounding cheesy, I aspire to be a "Citizen of the World". I feel that I am able to adapt quickly and easily to new cultures, and I'm not too bad at picking up new languages either. I know that "trilingual" is nothing special in Europe, but I am an American OK :P My current existence as an MBA candidate stems from my dream of working in the international auto industry, and my failure as an 18-year-old to see that studying engineering would be the best route :)But hey, now I speak English, Japanese and German, so from Ford to Honda to Mercedes, I have my bases covered.

P.S. I'm pretty much always in Germany, even if my computer tells the couchsurfing site that I am in Texas or Indiana. That is just a program to trick Netflix into letting me use it outside of the states, and subverting the evil GEMA to see music on Youtube :) If it says I am in Marburg, that means I am procrastinating and logged on at work (in Stuttgart but it's being strange).

PHILOSOPHY

Be yourself, what is the point of people getting to know somebody who isn't really you?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am just getting into the whole couchsurfing scene. So far all of my surfers have been great :) and meeting up with C Surfers in town to hang out has been a blast!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had many experiences sleeping on friends couches, including one made entirely of old pizza boxes (not the most comfortable). These good experiences have prompted me to get started on couchsurfing.org

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many favorites in each category to list. At the moment I just started reading Game of Thrones, and am already hooked, sure I'll read the whole series then watch every episode. SO glad Arrested Development is finally back. Django Unchained is awesome in the original English as well as dubbed in German, all thanks to the masterful Christoph waltz.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been on reality TV under a Pseudonym, so I can always deny it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you:
How to dance Salsa
My 7 Essential Rules for Karaoke
How to rebuild a Carburator
All about the sad history of 'Guns in America'
How to improve your English (for real, I used to be a teacher)
The Essentials of Racetrack Driving
...and much more
