CURRENT MISSION

I´ve got the whole summer to meet people! :)

Since I got two very bad experiences in the States, I am not currently hosting nor surfing in any way. Instead, I would like to meet people both in my city and the places I will travel to. This is how the situations sometimes change.

ABOUT ME

I´m a 27-year-old literature student from the University of Oulu. I live in a studio with my books :)

PHILOSOPHY

I´m now living the most fulfilled life Ive ever lived before. During the past year, I´ve grown tremendously as a person (especially in the States!), as a woman. Things happen, even if you dont do anything about it, and then can happen stuff which hurts you, and you cant do anything but learn to live with those things, live with your past, and accept it as part of you, and part of what you are now as a person.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I´m a huge Beatles fan, and I love old music back from the 50´s and 60´s. Especially jazz and swing. I also listen classical music, and sometimes german industrialmetal band Rammstein.
One of my favourite movies ever is Julie Delpy´s Two Days in Paris. When you ask literature student, what is your favourite book, the answer is "Define ´favourite book´!"

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I´ve been in two Paul MacCartney´s concerts, Sting´s concert, and Elton John´s concert, and I stood just few meters away from him! I´ve seen also Britney Spears live. I met my childhoodidol, E-type, and I love and respect him so much as an idol. I spent one of the most amazing evenings with him.

I went to New York, a dream come true itself, but I also went to Strawberry Fields and Dakota to recall John Lennon, my biggest idol. Couldnt help crying. I also saw my teenage idol Alan Cumming in a Broadway-show "Cabaret". Still cant believe it happened! What a journey!

Things you should do while you´re hosting:
- Make sure to your guest, what do you expect her/him to do in your house during her/his stay. Cleaning, cooking? Make sure he/she knows what is allowed, and what is not.
- You dont have to be entertainer for your guest. Ask your guest, if she/he has some plans of his/her own. Plan something for your guest, but you dont have to take the whole responsibility for guest´s stay.

Things you should know while you´re couchsurfing:
- Ask you host, what she/he wants you to do, other than clean after yourself, and what is allowed, what is not.
-Before you leave your stuff to your hosts place, make sure once again, that it´s okay for you to really stay there.
- Bare femalelegs can make your male host feel uncomfortable.
