Overview
About Me
Hi, we're Ondrej and Kristyna, an AI researcher and a med student (also a French literature graduate - we both have quite a wide range of interests).
We're currently based in Prague, though Ondrej also spent 4 years in England and Kristyna some time in France.
The curse of our lives is that we're interested in pretty much everything, which given the limited amount of time we all have sometimes feels a bit frustrating - but we prefer not to sob about it too much and try to explore whatever we can while we can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think meeting local people is the best way to find what a country is like and Couchsurfing is a great way to do that. Besides I'm a big proponent of low-cost travel and sharing programmes of all kinds.
Interests
Well, we really love travelling, mainly hiking, with bits of hitch-hiking and city exploration. We also love meeting new people and sharing our (traveling and other) experiences.
We also love dancing Swing, running (especially orienteering), and being outdoors in general. Among the weirder of our hobbies are beekeeping and occasional climbing on industrial chimneys ...
What concerns conversation topics, we usually enjoy even more philosophical bits, as well as literature, and attitudes towards life in general.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ondrej:
Music: In the past few years I mainly started discovering the wonders of classical music and developed a slight obsession for Gustav Mahler, but before that I had a jazzy period and a Bob Dylan period and a Pink Floyd period and I still like to come back to these occasionally.
I can also play some guitar - used to do jazz improvisation but now my skills are more of a bonfire-night level.
Films: Some of my favourites are Harold and Maude, Lawrence of Arabia, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Boyhood, The Hunt, Amélie, Dr. Strangelove or most Woody Allen films.
Books: Too many great ones to pick a few favourites, but what concerns author I like Milan Kundera and John Steinbeck quite a bit!
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can cook a few nice, mostly vegetarian dishes that hopefully won't disappoint even meat-eaters. And a great peanut cheesecake :-)
Mainly, we hope we can offer a few hours of interesting conversation ...
