Overview
About Me
I'm a senior in college, and I can't wait to graduate and start working in Shenzhen, China!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to travel, and Couchsurfing offers a way to do that while also getting locals' perspectives. I wish I could host but unfortunately I don't have enough space in my dorm to do that.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a weakness for classic rock, but I also appreciate indie (vague, I know), pop, and international music. Right now I'm really into Haim and Glen Check and Yuna, but Radiohead will always have a place in my heart. I haven't watched a really good movie in a while; the last thing I can think of is Yellow Earth, which isn't exactly recent. But I am a lit major, so I'm pretty much required to have a list of favorites. I really like Virginia Woolf, Junot Diaz, Borges, Han Shaogong, Peter Hessler, Toni Morrison, Tolkien, Haruki Murakami, and some others that I've forgotten here.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in China for 7 months last year, first studying and then working. Survived the culture shock and everything.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning about others' life experiences and stories of places all around the world. I only have about 20 years' worth of life experiences myself, but I'm happy to share what I have.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories about cross-cultural encounters? Information about modern Chinese literature and history that may or may not be of interest? Tips and tricks on working with ESOL learners of all ages?
