About Me

ABOUT ME

Greetings! I am a 25 year old girl who has been travelling for the better part of five years. After doing my undergraduate studies in Rome, Italy I stayed for several months in India, completed my master's degree in Ireland and interned with the United Nations in Geneva. I'm currently doing community organizing work and writing a novel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's no better way to experience a new place than through the insights and wisdom of locals. I love having the opportunity to connect with people from all different backgrounds. Some of my best friendships have been formed through couchsurfing, hostel-stays, and international volunteering.

Interests

My interests are all fairly nerdy. I love classical mythology, 19th century Russian literature, studying world religions, gardening, intersectional feminism, cooking delicious vegetarian food, hiking, philosophy, dancing like a fool and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm currently reading Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates, which is amazing and heartbreaking. Some of my favorite writers are Milan Kundera, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Roxane Gay, Dostoevsky, Barbara Kingsolver, George RR Martin, JK Rowling, JRR Tolkien, Margaret Atwood and Joseph Campbell.
My musical tastes are less discerning, and I enjoy everything from Bollywood music to hip-hop to folk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

None of these are amazing in the sense that they are impressive accomplishments but some crazy things that have happened during my travels include:

Moving to Italy on my own at age 20
Hitch-hiking in Tamil Nadu
Playing with pandas in China
Having dinner with Kevin Costner in Bucharest

Teach, Learn, Share

One of my favorite things to do when I travel is engaging in thoughtful conversations. I have a wide range of interests that I love sharing with others and am always eager to learn from others.

What I Can Share with Hosts
