ABOUT ME

I am a recent college graduate from a small liberal arts college in Arkansas. Over the past year and a half, my college has paid for me to study Islamophobia in Sweden and Finland and Human Rights and Social Justice in Chile and Argentina--with a side trip to Uruguay. In addition, I studied abroad for a semester with the International Sustainable Development Studies Institute based out of Chiang Mai, Thailand.

I just finished up an internship based out of the Arkansas Children's Hospital where I worked on developing farm to school programs in Central Arkansas. And, I was the President of my school's Ultimate Frisbee team and organized a tournament for twenty six college teams this past year.

I recently was awarded a $12,500 fellowship to study cultures of Alzhiemer's care giving in Ireland, Turkey, and South Africa. And, will begin my international adventure on July 29th.

I enjoy learning about other people, their experiences, and their perspectives on the world. And, I'm pretty laid back and always willing to try something new. I work hard to establish and keep relationships.

PHILOSOPHY

I've got roots but that doesn't mean I'm standing still. I'd like some green with all that concrete.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I have yet to host an official couch surfer, my roommates and I have hosted over 30 ultimate frisbee players over the last four years.( Our school club team hosts a tournament each year that brings colleges teams in from all over the region.)

First Couchsurfing in Turku, Finland--it was a great experience. Learned even more about paying it forward.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

While skiing in Jackson, Wyoming I found a trail that I fell in love with. It was not too fast past nor to to slow and took you through the woods while offering an amazing view of the mountains and surrounding area. I did this trail six or seven times. On the last time, I came across a Momma Moose and her baby. It was breathtaking.
