About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a 28-year old from Copenhagen, Denmark. Globetrotter in spe, but with a great love for my hometown. Being one of the fortunate people gifted with somewhat affluent parents, I have travelled from an early age, and have as of this year been to roughly 2/3 of the globe. As such, my knowledge of the world is quite extensive, but I am still of the opinion that no-one able to do so should cheat him- or herself of the joy of experiencing the charms of Europe. I have no need for maps after the first 24 hours in a city, as I have been gifted with what seems to be a semi-functional GPS in my brain, that works even when inebriated. Give it some time to update, and I can find my way "home" like a lame Lassie pastiche.

Music, Movies, and Books

At the moment, I'm going through a Antony Beevor & Bill Bryson phase. Can't get enough of their work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As widely travelled as I am, and with a good probability to sound like a total airhead, it is a bit of a challenge to pick out one thing. But if I must, I'll go for the massive experience it was to be in Beijing during the prelude and primary phases of the 2008 Olympics. The whole city was permeated by a mood, a sensation, a feeling... a feeling that we who were there took part in something very unique. And just the sheer scale of the city made an urban boy like me feel like the village idiot from some run-down rural hamlet. Insignificant, somewhat out of place (Me and my European friends stood out everywhere we went with our tallness and complexion), basically the same sensations expressed by Sting in his song "Englishman In New York"
