About Me

I'm not one for fancy activities and pub crawls.
I'm not a party animal at all.
I like peregrinations
mountains, kayak and bicycle roving
nature and adventures
long bath and bathing
skinny dipping in the lake, even it's only 8 degrees Celsius
milk, chocolate milk, milk chocolate, sweets
fruits (watermelons, peaches, sweet cherries!)
very good sung poetry
classical and folk music
Argentinian tango
some Polish traditional specialities (makówki, pierogi, gołąbki, barszcz)

The way is a very aim for me, not the finish. In other words, reaching aim through travelling.

"The form follows the funcion" - the real beauty of things. For me really doesn't matter how something looks like. It's only important if it works. You can call it practisism superiority over esthetics.

I'm a believer in God, but I'm neither bigot nor fanatic.

Some people say, that I'€™m looking for diversity even when it's no such a possibility (it's true, for example I don't like going back the same way I've come).

"free speech, free knowledge, free technology" - not a philosophy, but I like it

"I have found out that there ain't no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them." Mark Twain. I found it's faster to find out the same true on the water: one week of kayaking or only four days spent together on a small boat.

Usually people start making me boring or nervous after four days (there are of course great exceptions!). In Couch Surfing we have usually superficial, short and not really meaningfull contacts, so it was always ok.
I can be asertive and protect my borders but I prefer people who are enough atentive about others so they can recognize and respect others limits (but still keeping being honest and spontaneous!). I have the pleasure to let florishing the better features of our personalities when staying with people in harmony (even if we are openly arguing) than to be forced to discover how patient, thoughtful, benevolent and kind-hearted or forgiveable I can be. Especially if they have the knack of rousing every evil instinct in my nature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

They say that alone hitch-hiking trip around The Baltic sea was something amazing. It was just simply following my thoughts and it would be not possible without help of people who were giving me the lift and often the place to sleep. What was amazing for me, was the whole experience I gathered during that journey.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think every person is interesting and can teach us a lot...
I can teach you how easely pick ticks out from a dog. And if you teach me a few of your national or folk dances I'll really appreciate it. And traditional child's songs, lullabies.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don't give gifts as a guest and I don't accept them as a host.
As to a non-material side of sharing - I tried to describe myself in the profile.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine
