About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see all there is to see, meet all of the people that I have not met, and learn all there is to learn or die trying
ABOUT ME
I've been told that I'm pretty open minded, interesting and a good conversationist. I enjoy kayaking, meeting new people, french pressed coffee, coco, traveling to new places, what if scenarios, misadventures, cooking, spending time with my family and friends, nurturing a community in every aspect of my life, Pombir, and amateur pirotechnics. I finished a dual degree at U of M in Brain, Behavior, and Cognitive Science (psychology) and German. I hope to travel a lot more. I like adventures and misadventures alike.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that you can learn something from everyone and in that way learning a new language is a gateway to peple that you might and probably would not otherwise meet and I'm really interested in fostering a community in every aspect of my life, having rich relationships in my life is very imporatant to me. Also pushing my limits and experiencing new things is very imporatnt to me, which is one of the reasons that I love new cultures, and fully submersing myself in the customs and traditions of the region.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted once so far and I have couch surfed a few times now, once while visiting Hamburg, Germany, which was awesome, and a couple of times, while in Portland Oregon.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
once in Hamburg, Germany. The girl I stayed with in Hamburg was very nice. We were only there for two nights but my friend and I went out for coffee with our host and got to know her, though she worked during the day. Both hosts in Portland were above and beyond, what I could have ever hoped for in hosts, for which I am very grateful, that this community exists.
Interests
Everything, pretty much, my interests are very eclectic: I want to go skydiving in the near future, love kayaking, writing, reading: Psych, Bio, fiction, non-fiction, poetry etc, I like swimming, biking, hiking, coffee, long conversations, introspection and psychology, philosophy, learning new languages, juggling (beginner), playing keyboard, climbing trees/buildings/anything really, gourd recipes, misadventures, cooking, interesting people, tutoring, social justice, knitting, music, Capoiera, yoga, learning new things.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music with many exceptions but mostly with country artists that I do not predominately enjoy. I can't really name a favorite artist as I usually atach to specific songs which are many, I also like discovering artists from different parts of the world and listening to music in different languages. I have the same beliefs regarding books, I love books that can teach me something new or help me with some aspect of my life. In regards to movies, I like movies that either teaches me something new, makes me think, or is really epic and gets me pumped, such that I leave the theater wanting to do something exciting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'll tell you a fantastical tale involving hitchhiking, schnapps, beer, clocks, Freiburg-->Treiburg Germany and firemen. I spent a year in Germany. Many more random adventures. Some fun kayaking tales (night kayaking is awesome). Seeing the Cliffs of Mohr. Making my prom dress for high school out of ducktape. Illegally Sliding down the algae slide with my limno class at the Biostation. Jumping off a cliff on a roadtrip with my eco class.
Teach, Learn, Share
experiential knowlege, abstract philosophical views/honest indepth thoughtful responses. I can also share some basic knowledge of Capoiera (brazillian Dance fighting), and more intermediate yoga (I would be more than happy to do some yoga in the morning- it's awesome), also happy to share recipes or do some cooking.
