Overview
About Me
I grew up in the capital of Hungary, Budapest. I love that city but as I was at the point of choosing a college, I realized I wanted to see how people live in other places so I decided to move to the southern part of my home country. I must say I haven't regretted the years there living in a student dorm. I always try to spend my time valuable but not stressing on making "the perfect schedule" for a day. My hobbies can be found under my interest tags, so I just want to emphasize my love for sports (it all started in my childhood). I can say I'm quite adaptable as I've moved many times, and for other reasons as well. I always found it interesting to discover a new neighborhood and to see how people live in different parts of a city (e.g. outskirts vs. center). As often as I can afford it I seek the opportunity to spend some time outside in nature, mostly with friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I start with the main and direct reason, which was a hitchhiking journey across Europe. We just wanted to complete the hitchhiking feeling with couchsurfing. It was without a doubt that we would plan our route via Couchsurfing. In other words, I feel myself, as an individual, open-minded and ready for new travel experiences. For me it is obvious that one can get close to, learn about and feel the real atmosphere of a place by meeting and spending time with local people. So for me it was 'sooner or later' to join the Couchsurfing community.

Music, Movies, and Books
Well, as my father is a guitarist (not full-time, but practices quite frequently), I was raised listening to Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. As "a result", I prefer tracks performed with instruments to electronic music. Although I lately started discovering the latter one. Recently I've tried to search for more and more Hungarian bands. The reason? I think one should first discover local artists and then look for more.
With movies I feel like I should improve more, regarding to the Hungarian pieces. There were times when I spent a lot of time watching movies and reading books but nowadays I would say I cut the amount of that time back. Movies that blew my mind: Ex Machina, Requiem for a dream, Interstellar, Full metal jacket and Old boy, these came to my mind now. Movies I watch when lacking of energy: practically any of the films of Lord of the Rings or Star Wars series, but I'm not a big fan of Marvel. In books I can't say I have a specific taste. I have important and tender memories with reading and I don't feel like they are genre-specific.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked during one month through the northern part of Spain following the Camino signs until I reached the ocean. During this trip I met wonderful people.
Volunteering always makes me feel amazing, too.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really appreciate spending time with people and for me it's evidence that this is the best way to learn more and more about the world. So I don't mind starting with "small talk", don't feel like just because we are on Couchsurfing we have to solve the big problems of the world every time we meet each other through this platform. I think the main aim should be getting to know each other and doing this sincerely.
Okay, other things...Hmm, of course I'm always happy if I can talk about my country. I love Spanish and South American culture so always keen to experience it...
What I Can Share with Hosts
Talking-time and infinite curiosity, plus hopefully some interesting stories :)
...and a small portion of paprika, a Hungarian spice (I always try to have a small amount with me when I travel).
