Overview
About Me
Hi, I’m Balint – Hungarian by birth, Londoner by choice (for now), and a soon-to-be Madrileño! I’m a tall, coffee-obsessed digital product manager who’s mastered the art of overthinking menus at restaurants but still manages to eat well.
I’m on Couchsurfing because I love connecting with people and believe the best way to explore a city is through the eyes of its locals (bonus if you know where the best specialty coffee shops are).
Currently, I’m in Madrid on a quest to find a place to call home, but until then, I’d love to meet people and make the most of this amazing city!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I believe in people over places. Traveling and living in new cities are exciting, but what really makes them memorable are the connections you make. I love learning about other cultures, sharing stories, and building friendships that last longer than a weekend.
Interests
Specialty Coffee: Not just a drink – it’s a lifestyle. Always on the hunt for the perfect pour-over.
Cooking: I love experimenting in the kitchen (onion- and garlic-free, of course). Bonus points if we can cook together!
Fitness and Wellness: Whether it’s a workout session or a deep dive into health trends, I’m in.
Exploring Markets: Fresh produce, quirky finds, and people-watching – what’s not to love?
Travel and Culture: I’m fascinated by how people live, work, and eat around the world.
Learning Languages: Currently leveling up my Spanish – ¿quieres practicar conmigo?
Deep Conversations: Over coffee, dinner, or sparkling water, let’s chat about anything – from the meaning of life to why avocado toast is amazing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled to Argentina, explored the vibrant streets of Buenos Aires, and sipped Malbec in the heart of Mendoza’s wine country. Along the way, I embraced the culture, met incredible people, and sadly did not dance (but that should change in Madrid!). It was an unforgettable blend of adventure, relaxation, and discovery.
Teach, Learn, Share
Coffee Knowledge: Want to know the difference between a pour-over and an Aeropress? I can show you how to brew a great cup of specialty coffee at home - once I have one! :)
Fitness Tips: Whether it’s workout advice or creating a simple fitness routine, I’m happy to help you get moving.
