About Me
Currently in my hometown of Omaha, NE for short stint while pursuing a BA in Early Care and Education at the University of Washington (online program).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been couchsurfing for over 15 years now! My first time in San Francisco feels like a million years ago and led to so many other stays and connections. Through couchsurfing I've made friendship all across the US and have even couchsurfed with my mom in Portland, Maine.
Couchsurfing has created a way for me to travel and connect with a place and the folks who live there in a deep meaningful way. The hospitality of strangers opening up their homes to myself, friends, partners, and family has led to beautiful experiences which I shall never forget.
I feel like through the simple act of opening up one's home and sharing what we have, we can remember that most people are thoughtful, friendly, and welcoming.
Due to settling down in the pacific nw and then Covid-19 I haven't couchsurfed in almost six years and would love to get back into connecting with new folks while traveling!

What I Can Share with Hosts
Some things that come to my mind are -a love of local/wild foods, sailing, cooking, coffee, herbal medicine, growing food, building with wood, childcare, traveling stories, early childhood education, environmental education, designing a tiny home, doing your dishes and so much more!
I enjoy a good back and forth lively conversation, adventuring together, or simply quietly sharing space.
I tend to enjoy spending time by myself when traveling and also really enjoy getting to know folks if/when they are interested (cooking dinner, walking about, grabbing a drink, chatting in the backyard, staring at a campfire etc)
