ABOUT ME

I'm an American based in Shanghai, China. I'm a mental health counselor, teach part-time and also do some freelance writing. I actually don't leave the city very often, but when I do, it's usually for somewhere sunny and laid-back.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to always leave things/situations/places/people a little bit better than how I found them. I guess this is why I counsel and teach, it gives me the opportunity to be a link in the chain of moving someone forward towards their goals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done some couchsurfing in Europe- it was a lot of fun, I really like being able to get the "local" experience. I also really enjoyed hosting/meeting for coffee some people when I lived in NYC and Milan. It made my experiences there so much more international! I surfed last winter in Bangkok and met a girl who I then ended up traveling with for 7 weeks. It was such a great experience!
