O mnie
CURRENT MISSION
To open our organic homestead up to kind-hearted people who are interested in sharing our simple homestead experience (organic gardening, wild edible plants, nature study, wildcrafting, fossil digging, hiking, canoeing, local environmental action)
ABOUT ME
I am crazy about our two acre edible forest garden project that we have been creating for the past seven years on a shoestring budget. So far we have 165 types of heirloom fruits, two dozen bamboos, and a bunch of other goodies. I'm interested in many primitive skills. Our little place here is vegetarian and smoke-free. We also use only biodegradable shampoos, natural soaps, shaving lotions, non-chemical colognes and perfumes, etc. to keep our septic system natural.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in the people, and shy away from anything that is big and civilized - corporations, banks, politicians, etc. The money system mostly sucks, the Earth needs to be treated with much greater respect, can't stand pollution, honesty is the best policy, and the simpler something is, the better.
Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Our communal house is open to Earth-loving types. We have a sweet little guest room, communal kitchen, bathroom, large outdoor shower, large edible gardens, communal living room, back to the land library, picnic tables under huge live oaks, hammock, indoor laundry room/hang dry laundry, etc. We ask for one and a half hours a day in work exchange.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Recently hosted three CS'ers and it was fun. Have been hosting HelpX and WWOOFER / Organic Volunteer travelers for a few years now. If you want an organic homesteading experience, at a very laid back (lazy at times) humble home, then this is the place for you.

I am almost always up for a hike to search out wild edible plants and herbs across Florida. I'm writing a book entitled "Wild Harvest - 100 Common Edible, Herbal & Useful Wild Plants Of Southern & Central Florida". I know about growing and using bamboo & fruit trees in Florida. Very interested in practical permaculture. I give workshops and lead guided wild edible plant walks often. I can also take you to some amazing fossil digging sites.
