I was born in China, but raised in Germany. Travelling was something that, instead me doing it, was done to me. Starting from a young age we've moved a lot because of working assignments of my parents and similar things. It was only after I've settled down somewhere for a long time, during my early twenties while studying, that I got what the Germans call "Fernweh": a longing for the distant. Now I really wish to experience as much of the world as it has to offer, as authentic as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been to quite a few places now and one thing I've noticed is how huge of an impact a host can have on your travelling experience. If you are visiting solely as a tourist, checking all the sightseeing and crowdy places you will have a completely different voyage than if you knew some locals who are willing to show you how the place really is.
Couchsurfing is an amazing opportunity to get to know people at places you've never been to and had no prior connections before. On the other hand, as a host, it is such joy to show visitors how I perceive my city and what and why I love it so much.

Interests

There are so many things I like, but still so many things I don't even know I like.
Currently I'm exploring all the things you can do at, on or in the water: sailing, kiting, diving etc.
My hobbies on land include things like reading and playing poi and exploring my town.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, whenever I have the chance, on the bike, commuting, even right now, writing this, I'm listening to music. I enjoy music that I can completely lose myself into, good rhythm, powerful melody, enchanting voices are things I look for when listening.

Same goes for movies and books. A story, independent of genre, that is captivating and makes me forget everything around myself is my favourite kind of story.
