About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Heading to Louisiana to connect with my Cajun roots!
ABOUT ME
Howdy, I'm on my way to Louisiana! I work part-time as an outdoor educator and full-time at a Worker-Owned Grocery Cooperative in San Francisco, selling farm fresh foods to the community. I just received an 8 month sabbatical, beginning in March. This has been a long-awaited adventure and I'm really looking forward to getting out of the Bay Area for a spell. Last month I received a community-supported grant to begin a photodoc project on my Cajun roots. My plan is to check out New Orleans, then begin my travels through Louisiana, staying with family, meeting new friends and compiling the beauties, simplicities, and stories of my roots. I'm excited (and a little nervous, too). I'm looking forward to being on the road and learning from the people I meet along the way. I'll have my banjo in tow, so I'd love to connect with any musicians out there. I don't smoke, I eat most everything, am considerate of others, and enjoy the company of good folk.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat others as you'd like to be treated...simple is good.

Music, Movies, and Books
Documentaries. Memoirs. Awesome creative funky fiction. Movies set in old-times. Music: old-country, old-timey, bluegrass, folk, Dolly Parton, harmonies, African-pop and traditional.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The deep insides of the Grand Canyon. The source of the Zambezi river and Victoria Falls. The top of Mount Kilimanjaro. That's 3 (well, maybe 4--hehe)....but they were all amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
I cook. I can play banjo-background music...or not. I like to share stories and good food. I paint things. Also have some audio/video/photo skills. Outdoor minimalist skills (tarp rigging, rope tying, river).
