About Me

My main passion is protecting and conserving the natural environment for its intrinsic values. In 2022 I finally fulfilled a dream a long time in the making to buy a property in Monbulk part of the Dandenong Ranges. I live on a 10 arce bushblock with Wallabies, Sugar Gliders, Wombats, Sugar Gliders and lots of indigenous plants and wildlife. My house is from the early 1900's and needs lots of renovation work. I currently live by myself. I live simply dumpster diving food weekly, without a TV.

I work part-time as an ecological consultant and in ecological restoration work. I've run my small business for the last 9 years. I've had some amazing opportunities to travel in the past including hitch-hiking from Melbourne to the Daintree Rainforest. Currently studying Environmental Science slowly and will eventually have a degree sometime but have put that on hold for now. My first involvement with couch-surfing was in 2011 when I was living in Launceston, Tasmania and we'd regularly host surfers through my then housemates profile. Then I decided the sensible thing to do was to create my own account.

I'm progressively setting up my place to be semi-sustainable and more efficient in time.

Arriving via Public Transport
Catch train to Belgrave Station, approximately 1 hour from Melbourne. From Belgrave at the bus terminal take the 663 (runs 7 days a week) to Monbulk township. I live 40 minute walk from Monbulk township.
