About Me

CURRENT MISSION

become

ABOUT ME

About "you" : You, english pronoun designating either second person of singular or plural.
Funny thing, unlike many website which ask people to tell about "me", couch surfing website ask them to talk about "you" instead. A nice example of open-mindedness.

PHILOSOPHY

We're "one person universes", it's great to give and take from each other's, through the fog of communication. One friend of mine once said Love is the illusion someone understands you, I kinda like that.

I'm "nihilisticaly" open-minded, meaning I consider everything with attention, and give the sense I figure to it, as I don't believe in inner-meaning of stuff :
"All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth." (Nietzsche)

My philosophy is pretty chaotic, changing, made of lots of bits and pieces, influences and experiences. Siddhartha, Nietzsche, Sartre, Descartes, Plato, and all the blah, lotsa stuff.

I'm a bit of a scientist, wanna experiment this and that, try out theories, wonder, imagine, create, overthink stuff, etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm mainly offering (let's say lending) my-fantastic-self. For those who like it, let's share good vibes and for the others no hard feeling :p

I'm usually easy going, doing pretty good with one-to-one relations, training on the one-to-many (how ambiguous).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Started CS in Dublin in...2007! Had a nice new years eve, but it's really begun in Melbourne, with a great active community, lots of things to do and loads of enjoyable people.
Then back home in Toulouse, CS a little but it's a quieter place, and now more or less settled in SF^^

To be honest what used to be a great experience has gone a little blend for me in the last few years. Less opportunities to host or be hosted, and the few gatherings over here are more like 100 persons in a bar, not my idea of CS, really. SF has tons of things to do, so for now I just haven't had time to try harder, but I'm always open :)

Interests

Talking with someone. People in general, not all of them unfortunately, but meeting people I can enjoy is among the greatest things. Otherwise talking to objects or my other selves can be nice too. Nature. I wish I had motivation to actually go out and see the world more often. Music. Mostly every kind of rock, a little bit of everything from the rest. I'm a geek, love subculture, computer stuff and video games. Sun. Clinically photo-sensitive. Ever since I got here I've been giving into my life-long impulses of making stuff. Creating, you know... Anything.

Music, Movies, and Books

Bah...
http://www.last.fm/user/banzzai13 for some of my music.

For books, mainly mangas, fantasy (mainly R.A Salvadore) and some smarter stuff occasionally. Actually reading more these days, some philo stuff, the Dark tower and Amelie Nothomb mainly.

Fireflies Graveyard, Spaceballs, Shallow Grave, The Big Lebowski, Batman, Grindhouse, 28 days later, Halloween, No Country For Old Man...

Huge fan of Zero Punctuation, and Kaamelott (you should wish you could all speak french), Daria, also like Family guy, Two And A Half Men, Man Stroke Woman, The Big Bang Theory, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived for 27 years so far, pretty fucking proud.

I have a lot of little stories to tell, none (and all of them) life-changing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well as far as teaching is concerned, we can talk computer stuff, music, arts, maybe juggling ?

I'm no expert in anything but I'm interested in everything and curious about the rest (yes, the rest of everything). So you can try and talk about whatever you like.
