About Me

CURRENT MISSION

SURF COUCHES! AND HOST!

ABOUT ME

I love the warm weather. Taking long bike rides around town with my friends or by myself is nice. Music is a passion of mine. I play rock, punk, jazz, folk or whatever I feel like.

PHILOSOPHY

Find yourself, or you won't ever be able to truly find anyone else.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Host when I can and meet up with people when I can't and show them around my corner of Indiana.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Visited NYC and biked around for a week. (2010)

It is changing slowly, but surely. Hosted a person finally and visited Puerto Rico. (2013)

Visited Santa Fe, New Mexico. So much to explore still and so many stories to uncover.

Went to Puerto Rico again and saw a band that I really like, Los Pepiniyoz.

For fall break I went to Nicaragua with some friends from school. We went to Granada for a week and traveled around to a volcano, a huge laguna, and the small town Masaya that has a massive artisan market. (2014)

Went to Miami and hung around for a couple weeks and rode my bike around to places like Key Biscayne. Saw a show there at Churchills Pub and they hosted the band La Luz. Wynwood is a pretty artsy fartsy place so that was cool and worth a peek. (2015)

Visited Puebla, Mexico for 3 weeks to see my friends and travel the neighboring areas in and out of the state. Such as Cholula, Tlaxcala, Angélopolis, and Zacátlan. (2016)

Interests

Riding my bike, playing music, reading, going to shows, dancing and a lot more.

Short trips around where I live and to other parts of Indiana are some of my favorite things to do. I like hiking and working out as of lately. On top of all that I also enjoy working on my car and researching laws, economics, politics, social issues, etc. Really want to learn how to draw because all my

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy movies that ask a philosophical question or just take you thru some funny shit. After Hours, Full Metal Jacket! I really like Mexican Films as well. Arrancame la vida. Ojo de vidrio, La Zona, Y tu mama tambien, and the Spanish film El Labrinto del Faun es mi favorito. I've also been watching older films. I really enjoy older sci-fi. Salt of the Earth, Forbidden Planet, The Day the earth Stood Still. German Movies are also Wonderbar! Sieben Monde, "M", Das Boot. So many! Toooo Many!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I got hit by a car while riding my bike in Lansing,IL and did more damage to the car than the car did to me.
Snuck into Lollapalooza in 2009 and 2010. Too much security around there now so it's impossilbe. Don't try it!
Experienced a minor earthquake in Granada, Nicaragua during a storm and luckily our building didn't cave in.
Used all my money and I had to sell my bike in San Juan, Puerto Rico to get back to Chicago.
Crossed the Ecuadorian/Colombian border without doing any of the legal requirements and had to go back into Ecuador

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn funny slang from different Latin American countries. So far my favorites are from Caribbean countries, Central America, Colombia and Spain.
