About Me
Hi!
I'm Baptiste, a French student in engineering but mostly a music fanatic!
I mostly play bass, but also guitar and a bit of piano.
I like to take pictures around me, too : capturing situations and souls!
Reading is important for me, but less than talking to people, sharing stories, experiences, dreaming...
Last thing, I have to admit my English is not perfect but I'm trying :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Being on couchsurfing is for me an incredible opportunity to share experiences and stories. I like travelling and meeting new people, talking about what we did, what we would like to do...
It's also a way to learn a lot of things about a new city and a new country sometimes!
I already used couchsurfing some years ago and I have fantastic memories of it! So now I decided to create my own account (as the last time I used it with one of my friends' account) and, well, see what will happen!
Interests
Music : playing bass and guitar. I have 2 basses at home and 3 guitars, I am fond of blues, jazz, world music, rock, old RnB, even metal! I'm not very difficult, what matters to me is the story and the feelings behind the song.
About reading, I particulary enjoy what can be called the "classics" : Victor Hugo, Dante, Confucius, Voltaire, Jack Kerouac... Not very original to be honest, but such a great source of inspiration.
And finally, I like to take street pictures. I'm not very experienced in it but I'm truly interested in it!

Music, Movies, and Books
Well, definitely too much things to be written! I don't feel like having a favorite music, movie or book... Except maybe "the Divine Comedy", written by Dante back in the XIVth century!
I could talk for hours about it : music, movies, books...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Quite a tough thing actually!
Well, here is one : At the age of 17, I went on a road trip with a friend (using couchsurfing to sleep in other cities). It was planned one week before leaving, I even didn't have the time to tell my parents about it!
So we went to Belgium, Germany, headed up to Copenhagen and then went to Amsterdam, where we got the car broken and stuff stolen. So we had to come back to France. Useless to say my parents were not very happy when they learnt it...
But even it was a bad thing for my parents (I should have told it, but it was much more exciting this way), it was a wonderful experience to discover different cultures, cities, monuments and people, creating stories and friendships! It was such a great adventure!
