About Me

Hi guys ! We are Laura and Baptiste, a French couple aged 24 and 27. It's been a year since we left France and travel on the roads of America and Africa. We spent 7 months in Mexico where we bought a van and travelled almost all over this beautiful country. We learned to live with a spartan comfort, without bathroom nor air conditioning, in a country where the strong heat is sometimes difficult to live. This trip was rich in encounters, discoveries, wonder and personal introspection, and volunteering contributed greatly to this! That's why we don't intend to stop here! We are calm people, who rely on stable relationships.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on the final phase of our trip and plan to return to France without flying from Istanbul. We want to come back slowly, that's why we will choose slow modes of transport, like walking, hitchhiking or bus. It is for us the opportunity to test Couchsurfing, which we have heard so much about. Meeting people from all over the world were one of the most beautiful parts of our trip and we don't want to stop there.

Interests

Je pratique le cyclisme sur route à haut niveau, une expérience formidable de pouvoir vivre sa passion à fond.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most extraordinary adventure we had together was to travel 21000km by van between Mexico and the United States. An indescribable feeling of freedom.

Teach, Learn, Share

We enjoy philosophical and intellectual discussions and exchanges. We are passionate about holistic medicine and everything related to food and wellness. We dream of becoming dieticians and naturopaths: a project that is becoming part of our daily lives and that will become a reality in the years to come. As you may have guessed, we also love everything related to nature. Thus, we thrive on learning new skills (beekeeping, home-made products, cooking, permaculture, crafts and so many others) and listening to people who are passionate about what they do.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We would be delighted to share with you some of our French culture and all the others we had the opportunity to discover during this trip. We love to cook, it is with joy that we will take possession of the kitchen! We would also love to learn more about you, your country and your daily life in your country.
