About Me

Hi! I'm Baptiste, 27, French, live in Paris, for now.

And I believe each one of us should take the time to see the world, get to know the great people that fill in and taste the fullness of life.

After my studies, I spent one year in Australia and Asia, and it showed me that travel allows people to combine professional growth and cultural enrichment.
I now work for a luxury travel company, where I have the chance to travel from time to time, and to say that each travel is exciting is an understatement !

I love meeting new people and exploring new cultures by discovering its music, its food and most of all its way of living.
I consider myself open and sociable, friendly, stubborn, but with a great sense of humour, and also a little independent.
I'm really into sports (soccer, tennis, basketball, squash..etc) and a tv show addict. I'm always keen on going out, finding a new trendy bar or spending hours on a dancefloor surrounded by wonderful people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, for the moment I didn't have the opportunity to being host by people nor to host at my place, but it will come very soon. I've been a member since 2013, but I've actually only just started using CS (02/2016).

I just love to meet new people, and even though I already do that when I travel, CS will give me more opportunities to get to know incredible people, fellow travelers with whom I'll keep in touch and share stories.
Living as many transformative experiences as possible, that's what I'm after and I believe CS is going to be a great help!

Interests

Plenty!

I love talking to strangers, listening to their stories and talking about their passions.
But I pretty much like everything: going out for drinks, listening to music, climbing mountains, lying on the beach (Australian habit, playing soccer on a Sunday afternoon before playing a beer pong tournament, going to the cinema, attending one festival (I LOVE festivals), eating plenty of food, bike riding, camping, spending time with friends in a park or at a lakeside...and traveling, but that makes sense, right?

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Electronic Dance Music. No matter if it's at home, or at a live performance, I like to close my eyes and live through the music, let every part of me almagamating with it.
Among the sub-genres of EDM, techno is my favourite.
I like to listen other kind of music too and I'm quite open about that :)

Movies: I love watching movies and in my opinion two producers stand out from the crow: Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino.
Two different styles, for sure, but two master class producers.

Taxi Driver is my favourite Scorsese movie and in my top 5 all-time favorite movies, while Pulp Fiction is definitely the best movie ever !
It has all the characteristics we associate with great movies: great writing, first-rate acting, unforgettable characters, and a well-constructed narratives (that discussion about the Big-Mac)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My journey in Australia was awesome and I fall in love with Melbourne and its people. I met some very special people that made me feel like home!

Spotted the Great Wildebeest Migration in its full splendor, in the Serengeti, Tanzania ; Did a couple of great safaris too in South Africa, Madikwe ; Roadtrip in a van in Australia ; My Erasmus experience in Budapest was fantastic too

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you some French recipes, I like to cook (and drink quality wine).
I'm also happy to share some music as I always carry a lot with me.
I also did some French teaching back in Australia, so that's something I'm happy to do too.
