ABOUT ME

Hi. My name is Baptiste and I am from Belgium. I am keen on travelling and hope to do it as long as I can. I traveled from september 2017 to June 2019 in Asia with my girlfriend, Valentine.

Realizing the negative impact that tourism can have on the environment, we decided to avoid taking flights while traveling. We came back hitch hiking through Iran, turkey and Europe.

We are now working and living in Brussels

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We started couchsurfing in India and it was such an amazing experience for us.
We are always trying to meet locals and couchsurfing is an amazing tool to do so!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been travelling for as long as I can remember. My parents were huge fan of camping and hiking, and they took me to many places around the world.

I also went a year abroad when I was 18. After my graduation and before starting to study in the University I wanted to enjoy something more, something special. I went 6 months in the USA to learn English. When I stepped out of the plane I saw my hostfather holding a paper with my name on it. I knew that my travel was beginning, and though I was scared, it is one of the most beautiful moment of my life.

An other one was when I learned that I had been picked up to participate in an exchange program with mexico for 6 months. I had the incredible chance to go and live 6 months in Latin america to study in the University Of Guadalajara. This was truly awesome.
