ABOUT ME

I was born in Prague before the fall of Iron Curtain and grew up in post-socialist 90ies. As a child I spent a year in Pennsylvania with my family. I´ve been through my first culture shock there, and started to think about diferences between languages. 8 years ago, when going to university, I decided to study Vietnamese. Since then Vietnam became my major interest, I´ve already been there 3 times, and I´m still not tired of it :-D. I don´t like sleeping late. I´m a Czech girl, so I like good beer and good cuisine (Czech, Vietnamese or any other).

PHILOSOPHY

The more I know, the more I realize I know nothing. But that doesn´t prevent me from trying.

Interessi

I´ve been playing cross flute for years. I love growing plants, cooking, reading. I like beer (I am a Czech after all). I enjoy going to galleries and museums, partying from time to time. To me traveling is not just seeing places, but trying to understand them. That´s why I learn languages. Of course, one of my major interests is Vietnamese, Vietnam and it´s culture and history.
