About Me

CURRENT MISSION

If your dreams dont scare you, they are not big enough. That's why I quit my teaching job back home and went to Canada for a year.

ABOUT ME

I am a very open - minded person, spontaneous and ready for adventures. I love to philosophize about life, cultures, religions, politics etc. Generally I am very reliable, clean and uncomplicated.

Oh and I am also on AirBnb, the following numbers are references from other hosts or travellers (I got more references on AirBnB than on CS because people pay for that:) ):

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While travelling through Australia and New Zealand I received so much help. I did a lot of couchsurfing and had great experiences. I got invited to an Australian wedding, on a boat and to various barbecues. I have always been the only foreigner under all those local people and I loved it!
Once a New Zealander offered me his home to have a shower and watch a movie with his little daughter. Living in my car he has seen that I definetly needed some hot water running down my back. But the most extraordinary experience was when I was in Adelaide. I couldn't find the address of my host and I got lost.I called him and we found out there was a second street with the same name on the opposite side of the city. I realised it was to late to go there by public transport and I was really desperate. A girl walked up to me on the street and told me she overheard the phone call and offered me a place to stay at her house. This was increadible! No one has ever helped me like that!

Back in Germany, I wanna pass it on. I wanna help people when they need a bed ora drink or a meal and I am happy to hear some of their backpacker stories in exchange!

Interests

I love travelling , reading a good book, going out with friends, doing sports like Volleyball, Running, Swimming, Skiing, Snowboaring, Ultimate Frisbee... I am always open to new kinds of sports and interested in meeting new and uncomplicated people :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My sister and me did a trip to Corsica, an island between Italy and France. We didnt visit because of the beautiful beaches, but to walk from the northwest to the south east just onour own feet. The hike is one of the most challenging in Europe. We packed our backpacks and hiking shoes and hitch-hiked our way to the starting point. With little food and bottles of water that we could refill every time we crossed a little well, we made it from to the south in thirteen days. We slept in our small tent, cooking our own meals on a gas stove, waking up with the sun and going to bed as soon as the darkness surrounded us. Never will forget this adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a primary teacher so if somebody needs help for their children or ther little sister/ brother I am happy to help!
I wanna learn as much as I can from your culture, traditions and language. So it would be great if you could spend some time with me :) I have a lot of stories to share in return!
