I have been married to Joe aka Joseph Carlson for over 30 years and we have two grown children. They all came to visit me in Slovakia in November of 2019. We have such happy memories of being all together in my flat in Trnava, Slovakia, going by train to Budapest and visiting dear friends there. I joined couchsurfing while working in Slovakia. I also lived and worked in Budapest. Now I am back home in my hometown of LIvermore, California.
I sometimes live in Pennsylvania.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couchsurfing because a friend from France, Damien, is using couchsurfing to organize English speaking meetups in Trnava, Slovakia. Also, a Budapest friend named Adam encouraged me to join couchsurfing. I started a German speaking group, and we meet online because of the Coronavirus pandemic. Even when a vaccine is discovered, I will still like to meet online once a week to speak German, because the group can include people living in Spain, Turkey, Poland, the Czech Republic, Jordan and etc. That is SO amazing to me. It is one of life's greatest pleasures: to be able to talk and listen to people living in different countries.
